www.youtube.com more on the original Judeoteabaggers who destroyed Civilization www.youtube.com . And finally, New Rule, now that they’ve finished reading the Constitution out loud, the teabaggers must call out that group of elitist liberals whose values are so antithetical to theirs. I’m talking, of course, about the Founding Fathers, who the teabaggers believe are just like them, but aren’t. One is a group of exclusively white men who live in a bygone century, have bad teeth, and think of blacks as 3/5s of a person. And the other are the Founding Fathers! Now I want you teabaggers out there to understand one thing. While you idolize the Founding Fathers and dress up like them and smell like them, I think it’s pretty clear that the Founding Fathers would’ve hated your guts. And what’s more, you would’ve hated them! They were everything you despise. They studied science, read Plato, hung out in Paris, and thought the Bible was mostly bullshit. And yet, here is a popular painting in wingnut America. Yes, that’s Jesus with the Founding Fathers behind him, presenting the Constitution to America. Either that, or it’s a settlement offer for that boy after he sued the rectory. Super-religious guy Glenn Beck likes to play dress-up as Thomas Paine. Thomas Paine, an atheist who said churches were “human inventions, set up to terrify and enslave mankind”. John Adams said, “this would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion in it”.* Which is not to say the

  1. bRizzle2009100 says:

@PeterFormaini Explain to me how the quote was in context please.

“The evil that has resulted from the error of the schools in teaching natural philosophy as an accomplishment only has been that of generating in the pupils a species of atheism. Instead of looking through the works of the creation to the Creator himself, they stop short, and employ the knowledge they acquire to create doubts of His existence.” – Thomas Paine

He was a deist not an atheist.

  2. PeterFormaini says:

@bRizzle2009100 o dear – the quote was perfectly in context – and accurate.

And Paine was most definitely an atheist – and made no bones about it.

Hahaha you are such an idiot zeustelemaxos. My friend and I were just reading some of your comments and other videos you reference after watching this manifestation of retardation and ignorance, known as Bill Maher, while laughing our asses off. My friend has a masters in history and we are both very aware of the truths and manipulations of history; this is why it’s funny to hear your ludicrous ideas on religious and political issues. I would debate with you if you had a brain.

The guy has a B A from Cornell and puts forth this pathetic rant! Well I guess education has been dumbed-down a lot since 1776. A little research will tell you Paine was not an atheist, and he purposefully took Adams’s quote out of context, or maybe he hasn’t read the material at all. I am not a bible thumper or Republican but I am not impressed by these mindless rants. But now that we have heard the monkey I just wonder who the organ grinder is that puts this man front and center.

  5. Timasion says:

Actually, all the Founding Fathers would have been horrified at the state of our government. The whole purpose of the Constitution was to limit government. However, our President and his followers are trying to expand it as fast as possible.

  6. Timasion says:

@ZeusTelemaxos Of course it was not founded on any religion. That is different than saying the men who founded the nation were not Christian. Many were.

  7. bRizzle2009100 says:

@ZeusTelemaxos Ohh…. and after you check out the Adams quote and the fact that Thomas Paine wasn’t an atheist, check this out….

The U.S. State Department’s official position on the Treaty of Tripoli after conducting a study on it, is that the original translation of the Arabic (the original treaty was written in Arabic) was extremely poor and that Article 11 of the treaty does not exist. Why don’t you go read the actual translation of the treaty, Article 11 isn’t there.

  8. bRizzle2009100 says:

@ZeusTelemaxos What I said was true about the Adams quote Maher referenced and what I said about Thomas Paine.

I dare you to prove me wrong.

We can talk about the treat of tripoli if you’d like, after you check out the Adams quote and Paine’s beliefs.

  9. ZeusTelemaxos says:

    @bRizzle2009100

What about the John Adams quote from the Treaty of Tripoli. Was that taken out of context as well?

As the Government of the United States of America IS NOT, IN ANY SENSE, founded on the Christian religion,—as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen….
    .
So tell us was this treaty out of context? Read this book Teabeggers “Who killed Homer”.The US was purely founded on Greek principles. Not Cheez US

  10. ZeusTelemaxos says:

    @bRizzle2009
As the Government of the United States of America IS NOT, IN ANY SENSE, founded on the Christian religion,—as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility, of Mussulmen,—and as the said States never entered into any war or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties that no pretext arising from religious opinions shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.

  11. bRizzle2009100 says:

The Adams quote Maher referenced was taken out of context. He should actually read the entire letter instead of just getting his information from atheist and secular humanist websites.

And Thomas Paine wasn’t an atheist either.

  12. YTVideoJunkie says:

    That was hilarious!
I wish Bill Maher would regularly comment on YouTube. I’d love to watch him rip people apart in real- “real time.”

The war against intellectualism marches steadily on but has no clue where it’s going.

FREEDOM IS FREEDOM TO ENSLAVE PEOPLE – THOMAS JEFFERSON

  17. virram476 says:

@Freethinker12341 Well, it’s definitely a misrepresentation. There is a huge difference between saying someone doesn’t believe in God to someone that does believe in the existence of a God. But yeah, he definitely wasn’t a theist and that’s certainly the main point Maher is addressing. But still…accuracy does matter.

  18. Freethinker12341 says:

@virram476 meh, same thing. Wasn’t a theist. thats the main thing.

  19. virram476 says:

Thomas Paine was NOT an atheist! He declared himself to be a deist—a person who believes in a God but not one that intervenes in human affairs. He says it very clearly in his scathing criticism of the Bible “The Age of Reason.” The same goes for many other founding fathers.

  20. paunocu666 says:

it’s fun how american atheists are PROUND of their atheism !
I am from Brazil. Let me understand this.
In Usa , right wing = christian and believe in less state in the economy
………. left wing = atheist and believe in more state in the economy

Here in Brazil there is no right wing, the state control almost all the economy. We can’t buy cigarrets, we can’t buy guns and the state is bigger and bigger.

Why you guys don’t send the Tea Party to Us ?
And we send the Marxist Party to you guys:D

@cinemafreak666 No Italian or German Americans were placed in FDR interment camps only Japanese Americans!!
Wilson ALLOWED blacks to be hung took NO ACTION to stop it & created segregation but you say these acts don’t make him a racist. Wow you will justify anything to protect your beloved democrap party!

  24. joe035 says:

@HoRostam Jeffersonian Democracy is called that by democrats, when in truth it is a constitutional republic. They perverted it as Jefferson preffered a Republic to a Democracy & Democraps believe the Constitution is a living breathing document which to can be twisted to fit their needs.
