Republican Congressman Joe Walsh is allegedly a dead-beat dad according to his ex-wife who is fighting to get 9 years worth of child support. This is ironic because Walsh has been a harsh critic of President Obama and government spending. Cenk Uygur explains. Question: So, has the “Tea Party” movement now been Officially Hijacked by the Controlled Right?
Keynote speaker for Tea Party Convention: Sarah Palin?
Wow.
OK, Time to move on to the next party. This one just got way lame…
Let’s come up with a new name too, and this time, let’s not let FOX NEWS find out about it! They ruin EVERYTHING!
No? Explain why then. (You have no idea what you’re talking about do you? Run along).
Here’s a hint for those who can’t quite follow the question: back when the Tea Parties first started, under the BUSH administration, (as an anti-war/ anti-Fed/ pro-constitution movement) Fox News attacked them and accused them of being “terrorists.” Glenn Beck included.
But then when the Tea Parties started getting really big, Fox News and the controlled right jumped on the bandwagon and claimed to be it’s “leader.”
Ah, what short memories Americans have…
Beck also supported the Patriot Act and the Banker Bailout while attacking Ron Paul before he received his new instructions.

Question: In What Way do the “Tea Party” Folks Differ from George W. Bush, Ideologically?
The tea party people fancy themselves as a new political movement with new ideas but how exactly do they differ from the republicans of the last few decades? As an outsider, i see very few differences between the tea party and the George W. Bush republicans of the last decade. If you go through the major ideological positions of George Bush, they don’t seem any different from those of the tea party.
Here is where i see the tea parties and bush republicans overlapping:
-Both groups are for deregulation
-Both groups support the iraq war
-Both groups support the PATRIOT ACT
-Both groups are opposed to gay marriage
-Both groups are pro-life
-Both oppose marijuana legalization
-Both groups are opposed to health care reform
-Both groups are very christian
-Both groups support massive cuts in social program funding
The only areas that seem different are the bailouts and immigration reform. But are two areas of differences with an overwhelming majority of the positions seem to be identical. That doesn’t really seem like a new political movement. Just the same thing with a few tweaked positions.
So, please explain. How are the tea parties significantly different from bush and the republicans of the last three decades?

Both losers, so not much difference to debate.
