Question: Why do “Tea Party” folks fail to see who the real ememy is?
It is not the government, it is not “Liberals,” I mean how many liberal ideas have made their own lives better? The true enemy is the greedy corporate elite class who have robbed the middle class blind over the last thirty years. They have taken their jobs, shipped them overseas, they have paid off the politicians to get the rules of finance twisted almost 100% in their favor. They took tax payer money and did not use it for what they were supposed to use it for. Instead they used it to secure their own bonuses.

The enemy is this sick version of so called “Capitalisim” and “Free markets” that was sold to you starting in the Reagan years. Bill Clinton is just as guilty, don’t get me wrong.

To blame all of this on Barack Obama is laughable. Why don’t right wingers ever scream about corporate welfare?
Gee Bob J, such an answer of “substance.” What is the matter, did you forget to listen to Rush today?
Uh Glock,

Limbaugh has brainwashed you well. Even Alan Greenspan says the idea “low income folks” caused the housing crisis is absurd. It was caused by low six figure Yuppie types buying three times the home they could afford on ARM mortgages.

I seem to recall your boy Bush running for re-lelection in 2004 bragging about all of the “new home owners” his programs had created.
Uh Bi Polar,
What you described is NOT
free market. In fact, there is no such thing as a “free market.” Governments have always made the rules of the market.
Joseph B,

What your pals on Wall Street and what yourparty sells as “free market” is in truth corporate socialsim. Turn Rush off and learn.
“How Would I Know” Who in the world told you that we pay the “Highest corporate tax rates in the woprld?” In fact, after DEDUCTIONS American companies pay amonf the LOWEST.

Pplease turn Limbaugh, and Hannity off for a while and get some real facts.

www.nma.tv Minnesota Representative Michele Bachmann is a favorite of the GOP’s Tea Party wing. She is popular for her tax platform. Bachmann often invokes nostalgia for the GOP’s better times. And that makes her popular with some in the Republican establishment. But it hasn’t been easy going for Bachmann. She placed fifth in a New Hampshire straw poll. And she flubbed her response to the State of the Union. Bachmann has signed an anti-gay marriage pledge. And she has refused to answer questions about her effeminate husband and the ‘ex-gay’ therapy he offers to homosexuals. The media haven’t treated Bachmann kindly. Chris Wallace asked if she was a flake. Others have tried to make her look crazy. But will this Tea Party firebrand have the last laugh? Bachmann is looking increasingly desperate, making promises she can’t keep such as per gallon gas. The spotlight is now on Rick Perry and Bachmann is struggling to get noticed. The most Bachmann can hope for now is a No 2 spot on the GOP ticket.

President Nicolas Sarkozy of France and German Chancellor Angela Merkel are asking the 17 countries that make up the Eurozone come together to balance their national budgets. According to the two, adopting the “golden rule” will lead to reduction of deficits and the reduction of the EU debt. Will this new plan save the Euro and the 17 countries that use it as legal tender? Demetri Kofinas, radio host and economic blogger, shares his thoughts. Follow Lauren on Twitter: twitter.com

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell has no faith in the Tea Party’s ability to produce a president. This he noted today in a discussion with Christiane Amanpour on This Week, where he lamented the “very tense” tone currently in Washington and attributed some of that to the obstinacy of the Tea Party. RELATED: Colin Powell On Occupy Wall Street: ‘Demonstrating Like This Is As American As Apple Pie’ “The tone is not good right now and the political system here in Washington… has become very, very tense,” Powell told Amanpour, arguing that this was not exclusive a Congressional problem, but a media problem. “The media loves this game where everyone is on the extreme– it makes for great TV.” The extremes, however, would not produce results, he argued. The media, he concluded, needed to “take some head out of political life in terms of the coverage, so that these folks can get to work.” As for the rejection of compromise, he completely disagreed. “The Founding Fathers compromised on slavery,” he noted, “compromise is how this country was founded. The Tea Party point of view of no compromise whatsoever is not a point of view that will eventually produce a presidential candidate who will win.”

Question: Should the Tea Party “Repeal and Replace” John Boehner in 2012?

http://www.kspr.com/sns-ap-spendingshowdownupdateresendingtofix,0,2603737.story

First, Boehner promised us he would cut $ 100 billion from the budget during the campaign last fall. Of course, that was far too little when the deficit is $ 1.6 trillion (even the great Senator Paul’s $ 500 billion is nowhere near enough). Then, Boehner passed a budget that cut just $ 60 billion. Now, he wants to “compromise” with the Democrats and cut just $ 33 billion or so. This is a complete betrayal and is a sign that Boehner is not fit to lead and that he should get the same treatment as any other RINO. It is a sign of just how irresponsible Boehner is that he refuses to pass any significant cuts whatsoever (NPR doesn’t really count, although he is right to defund that leftist network) while the national debt is over 100% of GDP and the deficit keeps on growing.

Remember the slogan “Repeal and Replace” which was used to advocate repealing the government takeover of health care? How about we re-use that slogan for a campaign to “Repeal and Replace” Boehner? If Boehner isn’t even willing to demand significant spending cuts, why should we allow him to remain in Congress as a Republican, much less as the Speaker?

Question: “Crash the Tea Party” movement= Stooping to their level?
As you can see by my avatar and name, I have no love for that contrived, FoxNews/Goldline media driven mockery of a grassroots political movement.

HOWEVER…isn’t infiltration and sabotage completely the wrong way to do it? Now, whenever I see someone in a Paul Revere outfit on TV saying how he “Cries whenever he sees that Kenyan Terrorist speaking from the Presidential Podium” now do I have to have reasonable suspicion that it’s a mole?
Won’t it validate their “Us vs. Them” mentality and just feed into their already out of control paranoia?

TP’s already launched their share of counter-insurgency, public messages like “Ohhh! See? We must be right, because now they’re fighting dirty! They cannot counter our superior logic and infallable worldview! ” Which to me, is not a grain more valid than their claims of being a spontaneous, moderate, Non-Partisan, and Evenly Racially Diverse in their membership (riiiiiiiiiight) but it’s exactly the kind of NonThink mentality that insulates their core!

So what do you think? Could any good come out of this for the opposition?
OK for those of you who would like a source, the pleasure is all mine:

PLEASE HELP US SHARE THIS VIDEO. In February 2010, the group Tea Party Nation organized the first Tea Party Convention in Nashville, TN, a for-profit event. Some 600 people paid 0 to attend, and Sarah Palin was reportedly paid 5000 to the be the keynote speaker. After criticism of the convention’s cost, for-profit status, and payment to Palin, multiple national Tea Party organizations withdrew their participation. But the event went on. And so did the paranoid, conspiratorial assertions–that President Obama was born in another country, that he has covered up his college transcripts, that he is pushing a communist/socialist agenda, that he is protecting terrorists and endangering our country, etc. The organizers of the convention made great efforts to limit access to the press, and even held “new-media training” sessions to help the Tea Partiers sound and look better on camera–the more people see inside this movement, the less like it. But we got ourselves into the event, where the right-wing, fringe sentiments were on plain display. That said, these Tea Partiers–able to pay the cost of attendance–are more affluent than those at the 9.12 DC March, and more self-conscious of they are portrayed in the media. There were fewer signs and homemade t-shirts here, but the attitudes, if more subtle in delivery, were the same. Produced and edited by Chase Whiteside (interviews) and Erick Stoll (camera).
