Question: ah Duh? I’m watching ‘coverage” ~ But where are there more than 20 people at any “Tea Party” across the US?
so what’s the big deal. It’s not raining all over the country?Where’s Reilly and Lumburg and Coulter?
“Tea Party”!
Protest!
Right.
To those who claim they were at a “Tea Party” I say, right. That’s why you’re back here sitting in front of these screens. And for others, its not going to make a difference anyway. 20 – 40 – 75. The government will do as it wishes.
I’ve been watching several channels. I havent seen one that has anywhere near 10,000 people.
Its all a joke
no one cares
People who see the protesters, say
“so what”
will it make a difference?
no.
oh please
President Obama is not a miracle worker. He’s been in office what~~ less than or about 100 days?
For those of you ~~ assumedly Most of you ~~ who are complaining, you had to see it coming when bush was in office.
Seems you failed to see what bush was doing…fattening the pockets of his cohorts through unnecessary and illegal war…

Follow the money, sillies!
Follow the money!
Put the blame where it belongs.
Not on President Obama.
Bush said in his 6th year as president that he would “leave the war to the next president”. He forgot to add that he would leave the “economy” to the next president also.
Get real.
Learn something.
Follow

It doesn’t matter anymore because it’s been proven that they’re financially supported by Fox News and the GOP.
Question: In Texas, “Tea Party” people yelled “Secede!” Is this what they want?
Is this what this “tea party” is all about? Secession from the United States?
Some people with tea bags hanging in their eyes and clad in their trademark red shirts, yelled out “Secede” when the Republican Governor Rick Perry addressed the crowd.
Is this the answer? These crowds of 1000 to 2000 in mostly Red States, really want to break off from the US and run their own nation?
Where abortion is illegal, the government has a religion and everyone works in the factories so they don’t have to buy anything from China?
Sounds like Utopia (sarcasm).

Sounds like a GREAT idea!!!
Question: Do the people who go to those “tea parties” understand the historical significance of the Boston Tea Party…?
…or did they miss the memo?
The Boston Tea Party was a struggle about being taxed and not having representation in the United States
Seeing as how 200+ years later we now live in a democracy where United States citizens, men and women of all different races, can vote for the officials who represent them HERE IN THE UNITED STATES, why are these idiots throwing tea into water when they should just be picketing outside in Washington D.C. instead of looking like lunatics who never passed grade school U.S. history?

If the idea was to protest then yes you wouldn’t be sounding like a complete moron right now.
The idea is to organize average Americans and promote awareness, not pander to fringe groups.
Question: Why do people like Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter say Obama’s tax policy is Socialist?
They make it see like the 70% income tax rate which was on the top bracket was only that way under Jimmy Carter and Reagan “rescued America” from high taxes. The truth is that same 70% rate was used under Gerald Ford and Richard Nixon before Carter and it was in the low 90′s under Dwight Eisenhower, another Republican. JFK called for that low 90′s percentage to be dropped to 70. I realize Bill Clinton raised taxes on most people but now that Barack Obama is cutting taxes on 95% of Americans and the top bracket will still be paying 30.4% less income tax than under Nixon and Ford, why do they act like Obama is making taxes crazily high? 39.6% on the top bracket is not bad at all compared to the 70+% it was pre-Reagan. Ronald Reagan was a good president but he increased taxes on the lowest bracket from 10-15% and cut some very important programs for people with mental disabilities. Why don’t these pundits call Eisenhower, Nixon and Ford socialist? I believe it is because they want people to believe Democrats are for unheard of high taxes that will be radically different than anything even seen in this country. The myths they spew are very misleading. I believe all they truly love about America is money. In my opinion their is so much more to this country than money. Another one of their arguments is taxes go up on the top bracket then people will be less motivated to climb the social ladder. I can tell you I have no interest in being a CEO a doctor or a lawyer whether taxes are 28% like they were in the late 80′s or whether then are 90+% like they were post WW2. I work hard no matter which party is in power and I don’t complain. These people should have no credibility after the way they defended Bush the way they did when he is far more liberal than Clinton ever was fiscally. I used to be a Republican but I made the switch to Democrat because the Republicans just try to scare people into voting for them. In my opinion they are keen to ignore everything pre-carter and pretend this country began in 1976 and Reagans policies saved this country. I think a 70% income rate is far to high but 39.6 certainly isn’t and it is FAR from socialistic. The money saved by cutting those rates can empower the middle class to succeed by lowering health care costs and energy costs. Thanks for reading this far.

In my sociology class I found out that wages have been stagnant since Reagan was elected. And its actually easier to move up in class in Denmark and in Canada than in the U.S. My dream is to get married and become a dad. With the cost of living so high it seems like its not nearly as easy for my generation than my parents. My mom bought a house in cash when she was 26 and she grew up lower middle class in the city. She worked hard and moved up in class. She had her college paid for because her dad died when she was 13 she received social security. People act like the government social programs are bad but it allowed my mom to go to school and earn a darn good living. Also I believe if the government were to ever spread wealth around rather than income it would be disastrous. But income is totally different. The government prints the money and writes the laws they have every right to have a progressive tax structure. If flat tax is imposed, the little man would get squeezed.
