www.youtube.com more on the original Judeoteabaggers who destroyed Civilization www.youtube.com . And finally, New Rule, now that they’ve finished reading the Constitution out loud, the teabaggers must call out that group of elitist liberals whose values are so antithetical to theirs. I’m talking, of course, about the Founding Fathers, who the teabaggers believe are just like them, but aren’t. One is a group of exclusively white men who live in a bygone century, have bad teeth, and think of blacks as 3/5s of a person. And the other are the Founding Fathers! Now I want you teabaggers out there to understand one thing. While you idolize the Founding Fathers and dress up like them and smell like them, I think it’s pretty clear that the Founding Fathers would’ve hated your guts. And what’s more, you would’ve hated them! They were everything you despise. They studied science, read Plato, hung out in Paris, and thought the Bible was mostly bullshit. And yet, here is a popular painting in wingnut America. Yes, that’s Jesus with the Founding Fathers behind him, presenting the Constitution to America. Either that, or it’s a settlement offer for that boy after he sued the rectory. Super-religious guy Glenn Beck likes to play dress-up as Thomas Paine. Thomas Paine, an atheist who said churches were “human inventions, set up to terrify and enslave mankind”. John Adams said, “this would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion in it”.* Which is not to say the

Question: If the tea party people united to form the “Tea Bag Party”, how many of you here on YA would join them?
The political situation in America is really weird right now. Honestly, how many of you are happy with this president, the Democrats, the Republicans, the Libertarians, the Independents, the Green Party, or whoever? At least the news is never dull when the tea party people are protesting.

Question: If McCain had won in 2008, do you think the “Tea Party” movement would still have emerged?
If McCain & Palin had won the 2008 election instead of Obama & Biden, do you think that the “Tea Party” movement still would have come about. I wonder this because, if you think about it, if McCain & Palin had won, they would likely have still have had to defend many of the policies that the Tea Partiers are against, namely the bailouts, as McCain supported them and voted for them in the Senate. However, McCain also hypothetically wouldn’t have pursued a health care reform bill, cap & trade, and other Obama agenda items that Tea Partiers oppose.

So do you think the Tea Party movement would have come about if McCain had won or would he & Palin be able to appease them just enough to keep them at bay? I’m looking forward to reading your opinions, because I think its an interesting hypothetical that I really don’t have a solid answer for. My sense is that it would exist in some capacity, but be a smaller, less influential force. More of a “watchdog” concept than an activist one.
Ok, so the Tea Party was around pre-2008, I’m sorry that I didn’t phrase that better. But undeniably it has spread in size and influence since Obama was elected. The better question is, would it be as influential as it has been over the past few years if McCain had been elected instead of Obama? And, again, I’m sorry, it was a honest mistake.

Question: If wages had not flat-lined and dropped since Ronald Reagan… would Social Security be in any trouble?
We aIl know that Social Security wouldn’t be in trouble, and in fact could actually pay out much more, if the SS Tax was applied as a “flat tax” to all income (rather than skipping the wealthy).

However, I had heard recently that SS would “also” not be in any trouble… if wages had continued on an upward trend (wages which year to year kept up with productivity and inflation) as they had been, right up until Reagan “fixed” this for his campaign contributors.

Is there a good place to find more information on this?
This is average weekly wages (for all non-farm workers) in the US in 1982 dollars:

1980 281.27 -5.89%
1981 277.35 -1.39%
1982 272.74 -1.66%
1983 277.50 1.75%
1984 279.22 0.62%
1985 276.23 -1.07%
1986 276.11 -0.04%
1987 272.88 -1.17%
1988 270.32 -0.94%
1989 267.27 -1.13%
1990 262.43 -1.81%
1991 258.34 -1.56%
1992 257.95 -0.15%
1993 258.12 0.07%
1994 259.97 0.72%
1995 258.43 -0.59%
1996 259.58 0.44%
1997 265.22 2.17%
1998 271.87 2.51%
1999 274.64 1.02%
2000 275.62 0.36%
2001 275.38 -0.09%
2002 278.91 1.28%
2003 279.94 0.37%
2004 277.57 -0.84%

I’d say it looks pretty flat…. For the most part since Reagan, the only ones that really seem to be increasing their personal wealth in this country seems to be the top 2-3%.

Answer:

Answer by Depends
Yes, wages have NOT flat-lined and dropped, withholding rates HAVE increased for Medicare, FICA and local taxes.

Question: What would my general statement by in this essay?
For english class, we have to make an exemplification essay. I’m basing my essay off the quote by Ronald Reagan “You can tell a lot about a fellow by his way of eating jellybeans.” I don’t know where my statement can come off of it though. Anyone have any ideas?
I can kind of going for the personalities of people who eat jelly beans. I have this so far about them.

Jellybeans shows your social status
•Poor people can afford the grocery store brand jellybeans
•The Middle class buys the Starburst Jelly Beans or the candy store jellybeans
•The Wealthy can afford to indulge in Jelly Belly
Ways of choosing jellybeans
•Grouping them by flavors, eating one group at a time
oOrganized, controlling
oComforted with order and plans
•Randomly chooses the jellybeans from the bag
oCarefree, laidback/ likes surprises
oTakes life as it comes/ freewill
•Eats only certain flavors/colors; refuses to eat certain flavors/colors
oStubborn, Picky
oAunt Donna refuses to eat red jellybeans, no matter what the flavor is. (Will eat green watermelon jellybeans but not red watermelon jellybeans)
Ways of eating jellybeans
•Chewing Methods
oFrown and fast chew can display disappointment
oClosed mouth with a smirk can display happiness
oF
oFast hard chew can show anger
•Sucking on the jellybeans until they fully dissolve
oEnjoys life to the fullest, takes advantage of simple pleasures
opatient
•Swallowing the jellybeans, either with little or no chewing (‘Inhaling’ the candy)
oRushed?
oSpeed through life, unfocused/ not really appreciative
•Mixing different flavors together to create new flavors
oStrawberry+ Chocolate= Chocolate covered strawberry
orisky
Colors can indicate personality
•Red/orange usually means warm and loving
•Green indicates openness
•Blue means sad, or ‘go with the flow’
•Yellow usually means prudent

Answer by Dave W
Reagan was not noted for his great intellect, just was a nice guy who could give a good smile, and read his speeches in a positive, patriotic manner.

By his reducing down to something as simple as being a “jelly bean” eater, it also pleased many people, who really liked sweets and getting such a treat. Jelly beans were everywhere in the Reagan White House.

BTW, it’s M&M’s in the Obama White House, but I hear they also have fruit bowls too, for those who avoid chocolate, or sugar.

Your generalization statement should be something like this:

In national politics, often “image” is more important than reality.
Or,
When it comes to making people feel good, or accepted, sharingh food (breaking bread) is the fastest way to show acceptance, especially when it’s a food that is universally enjoyed.

Now, if only we can deal with next problem, i.e, universal health care for Americans, why wouldn’t anyone love that too?
